While another tech test seemed unlikely ahead of launch, Embark Studios’ ARC Raiders will receive a three-day server slam event instead. Running from October 17th to October 19th, it will span the Dam Battlegrounds and offer a few quests alongside “elements of progression and crafting” (though progress won’t carry over).

However, the purpose behind the test is in the name: To stress servers as much as possible to prepare for launch. For that reason, the server slam is available for all platforms, and participants will receive an exclusive backpack for use in the game.

Pre-orders are also available for the extraction shooter, with the Standard Edition costing $40 and the Deluxe Edition retailing for $60. The latter includes the Valente Outfit and alternate colors, a Pathfinder Backpack, a Blanket Roll Backpack Attachment, a Lip Scar Face Cosmetic, and a Finger Gun emote. You also get 2,400 Raider Tokens and a Cowboy Skin for Scrappy, the rooster.

Those who pre-order get the Astro Bundle and Lucky Duck bundles for free (though Standard Edition owners only get the latter). They won’t be available for purchase post-launch, so act quickly.

ARC Raiders launches on October 30th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC.
