Money is as hard to come by in Dying Light: The Beast as it is in real life, and there is a lot to spend on with your meagre plunder. Still, there are some game mechanics to take advantage of, in order to fill your pockets enough and buy that piece of gear you had your eye on.
This Dying Light: The Beast guide is all about grinding Old World Money quickly and efficiently.
Dark Zones
These locations on the map also list their potential drops as Possible Loot. Choose one that is to your liking, in terms of difficulty. Ideally, it will be close to a Safe Spot, as you can then quickly return there upon completing a farming run, in order to sleep and reset the Dark Zone. The higher your level, the better the loot, as it scales right along with you.
Volatile Farming
Volatiles are some of the toughest opponents you will face outside of bosses, and their Valuables drops are commensurate with that difficulty. Starting from the Town Hall, lure Volatiles in the vicinity back to within range of the UV lights at the entrance. Then chip away at their health until they are dead. You can viably kite Volatiles by stepping into the wash of the UV rays to break off their pursuit, and then quickly back out again to get some more shots in.
Infested
The walking dead are not a stable source for Old World Money, as their drops are randomized. However, if you can corral and quickly kill large numbers of them, they will drop a diverse array of items including high-demand Valuables, which also have cash value.
Those are the best methods to quickly farm Old World Money in Dying Light: The Beast.
