While it's internally running on consoles, Liquid Swords CCO Christofer Sundberg is unsure when those versions will release.

Liquid Swords has been very forthcoming about its debut title, Samson: A Tyndalston Story, outlining its no-holds-barred fighting and car designs through various development diaries. However, a potential launch on consoles remained fairly ambiguous. That is, until studio founder and CCO Christofer Sundberg issued a new statement on Twitter.

“We get a lot of questions about console versions of Samson. The honest (and we’re always honest) answer is that we don’t know when. The game is running on consoles, but we don’t have the bandwidth right now to start the final development.” That includes submitting builds to different platform holders for certification.

“Once the game is out on April 8, we’ll get cracking on the console versions. (Almost) Nothing can stop us!” reassures Sundberg. He didn’t specify which platforms the title would launch on, so if you’re on Nintendo Switch 2, it could go either way.

Samson: A Tyndalston Story retails for $24.99 and will be available through Steam and the Epic Games Store. As the titular Samson, players return to the rough streets of Tyndalston to pay off a severe debt. The catch is that they have limited time in a day to take on various jobs and meet their quota, with the amount only increasing as time goes on.

While it offers a linear narrative that takes about 10 hours to complete, there is some freedom to explore the city and take on eight job types. Some of these include laying a beatdown on enemies across more than 30 combat arenas in the city. Others could entail serving as a getaway driver for a heist, using the Magnum Opus (Samson’s vehicle) to take down any opposition. Head here for more details.
