Among Super Soldiers, Symbiotes and those who command the elements, it’s always nice to see Peter Parker getting by on sheer will, sass, and the relative strength of a radioactive spider. In its latest Character Guide video for Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, Arc System Works details your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man and all the ways he can beat down the competition.

Besides possessing the ability to move while crouching and hang from the ceiling, he can use Zip Line to stun opponents or swing towards them. Zip Kick works in conjunction to launch Spidey towards them for a follow-up attack. Alternatively, you can chuck a second web and execute a slam. Even if an opponent is blocking, they’re pulled towards you.

The usual Web Shots are in play as projectiles while Web Bombs serve to snare individuals, but there’s also Spidey-Sense. Think of it as an evasion tool, except when faced with the other team’s leader, which turns it into a counter-attack. Otherwise, his Super and Ultimate Skills offer different variations of Spider-Man swooping about with his webs, delivering rapid strikes before a strong finish.

Overall, he seems like a good character in terms of mix-ups and area control, constantly keeping others on their toes. With the open beta running from July 24th to 26th, we’re keen to try out Parker ahead of the game’s arrival on August 6th for PS5 and PC.
