Marvel Rivals is inching ever closer to a collision course with the MCU’s Avengers: Doomsday, and things have been heating up quite a bit for the popular hero shooter with new characters, locations, and brand-new Team Up abilities being added into the mix.
However, we’ll be the first to admit that things have become a tad too intense when there are a lot of abilities on your screen, and keeping up with the action has been a challenge even for those who’ve been playing this one for a while. Thankfully, NetEase seems to be aware of that particular problem, and its latest patch is a step in the right direction. It brings changes to the visual effects of several heroes’ abilities and many Team-Ups, toning things down and making the action easier to read.
That’s important in a game where you’re going to keep track of multiple opponents and try to dodge any Ultimates ahead of time. We’re looking forward to more of these fixes and a cleaner look for a title that’s been a mainstay of ours when the itch for hero-shooting gets too much to ignore.
Marvel Rivals is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Season 9 is currently live, adding Jubilee as a new Strategist with The Hood coming further down the line.
