Crossing 40 million players across Xbox, PS5, and PC is no small feat for a game, especially before it exits early access. But that’s exactly what Pocketpair’s Palworld managed, and the response to 1.0 has been very strong. The real question is: How much has it earned in its lifetime?
While the developer hasn’t officially confirmed this, Alinea Analytics estimates $700 million in revenue from 30.5 million sales, with Steam apparently making up 85 percent. And since it exited early access, Palworld has allegedly reached almost 1.5 million sales on the platform, with 300,000 on PS5 and 70,000 on Xbox and Xbox Series X/S.
Its concurrent player peak on Steam almost recently hit one million – an impressive milestone, for sure. However, across all platforms, Palworld reportedly averaged 3.7 million this past weekend. Other notable figures include a reported 5.2 million players on Steam, about 20 percent of the total player base, already having more than 100 hours. Meanwhile, about 200,000 (0.7 percent) have apparently crossed 500 hours.
Though Palworld is a massive hit and Pocketpair is interested in post-launch support, it won’t be as straightforward as simply adding new resources and increasing the level cap. Time will tell, so stay tuned for updates, and check out our review, where we scored it a 9 out of 10.
