Nintendo is joining the roster of publishers attending Gamescom, including Sega and Xbox, and it’s bringing a pretty respectable line-up. Attendees can try out Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, Splatoon Raiders, and Pokémon Pokopia’s Expansion Pass – which currently consists of the new Bubbly Basin DLC.
There are plenty of third-party titles to look forward to as well, including – surprisingly enough – 007 First Light. IO Interactive said it would be available later this Summer, but it’s yet to announce a release date. Perhaps at Gamescom Opening Night Live, followed by a hands-on demo to show off its performance on the show floor?
One can also look forward to Minecraft Dungeons 2, Orbitals, Metaphor: ReFantazio, EA Sports FC 27 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. The latter is interesting because it’s the first Call of Duty to be released on the Switch, and should provide a nice preview ahead of its October launch.
Of course, there’s the tease of “and more,” and you can’t help but wonder if Nintendo will feature The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time’s upcoming remake. Out this year, we’ve yet to see any gameplay, much less hear about a release window. It’s also possible that FromSoftware’s The Duskbloods, whose closed network test runs from August 21st to 23rd, makes an appearance. Stay tuned as Gamescom runs from August 26th to 30th.
