Helldivers 2 is Raising the Level Cap to 300 As Part of Its “Broader Progression Overhaul”

If you've already reached level 150, all XP earned since will automatically go towards the new cap and unlock new titles and ranks.

As promised among many other improvements and changes, Helldivers 2’s level cap is being increased. Previously at level 150, it’s now heading to 300. It’s part of a “broader progression overhaul” coinciding with Galactic War Campaigns and other progression systems.

And while it will take a significant amount of time, especially for those starting (though every weapon and Strategem is available at level 25), veterans can ameliorate the grind. Those who hit level 150 will find that their XP will count towards the new cap.

“The moment the new limit goes live, the game recalculates your total XP against the new level table and instantly bumps you up to wherever you should be. No re-grinding, no starting over,” said Arrowhead Game Studios. It’s the same system that was in place when the level cap was first raised, which is pretty great.

Of course, you might wonder what the point is, and thankfully, the development team is providing some new incentives, including additional titles and ranks. Whether there’s more in store remains to be seen, especially since the update doesn’t have a release date, so stay tuned for more details.

Helldivers 2 is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, and is set to receive its next Legendary Warbond, a collaboration with Warhammer 40K, on August 12th. It adds two new armor sets based on the Cadian Kasrkin regiments and iconic weapons like the Bolt Pistol and Meltagun. Head here for more details.
