Fuse Games has released a brand-new trailer for Star Wars: Galactic Racer, this time around focusing on a single one of its many vehicle classes – the Speeder Bike. The trailer was showcased during Xbox’s Day 2 stream during Gamescom 2026, and features an in-game mechanic discussing the pros and cons of using a Speeder Bike for a high-speed race.
As the mechanic explains, using a Speeder Bike for an explosive race is quite a risky endeavour, and the character even calls them concussion missiles with handlebars. Thanks to its lithe frame, Speeder Bikes tend to have great acceleration. However, cornering is a weak spot for them, and they tend to run wide. To deal with this, Speeder Bikes are equipped with Kinetic Burst, which rapidly decelerates the vehicle, giving the rider better cornering capabilities while they speed back up.
Speeder Bikes are also not as sturdy as some of the other vehicles in the game, making cornering even more of a challenge. However, the regenerating Kinetic Burst can be used to speed into and out of corners in the hands of a skilled rider.
The lithe frame of Speeder Bikes also opens up new shortcuts for them through narrow holes in the walls of race tracks. However, these shortcuts also have the tendency of being filled with debris, which can easily bring the entire idea to an explosive end.
Like every vehicle, Speeder Bikes also have several customization options, from performance tuning to visual flair, and even decals like racing stripes.
Star Wars: Galactic Racer is coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S on October 6th. For more details on other vehicles, check out the deep dive from earlier this week.
