Code Vein 2 Mask of Idris

If you’ve been thinking about picking up Code Vein 2’s Mask of Idris DLC, this is probably good news. A new Battle Rush mode, Trials of Remembrance, is coming to the base game, featuring a medley of all the bosses you’ve probably taken down over the course of your adventure if you’ve seen it through to the end. That’s welcome enough news, as some of those fights are quite memorable and a lot of fun.

But the cherry on top is that you’ll face a few bosses from the DLC, which could have you taking them on without any potentially helpful tools the expansion might bestow upon you. Well, we’re sure several of you are already grinning at the thought of more challenges, so have at it. Of course, the allure of a new world and a new Companion to engage with are great reasons to go for the expansion, so it may be better to try it first.

Look for the Trials of Remembrance as part of the game’s free Update 2.0 when it launches alongside Mask of Idris on September 9th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. The trailer below gives you a glimpse of what to expect. You can also check out our review for the base experience here.
