Control Resonant Recommends an RTX 5080 for 4K/60 FPS With Path Tracing on PC

While this is with Performance upscaling, it doesn't include Frame Generation, which could significantly improve frame rates.

With Control Resonant out in about two weeks, Remedy Entertainment has announced the final PC requirements for the action RPG. At the absolute high end, with 4K/60 FPS and Path Tracing enabled, you’ll need an Intel Core i7-10700 or an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080.

This is at the High graphics preset and ray tracing set to max, but there’s a catch. The upscaler must be set to Performance Mode, which means anything else could cause frame rate drops. Remedy notes that Frame Generation wasn’t tested for any of the configurations, so DLSS 4.5 could help.

You can also enjoy 4K/60 FPS with ray tracing off and Performance upscaling enabled on the same CPU and an RTX 3080 or Radeon RX 6800 XT. Besides Path Tracing and DLSS 4.5, Ray Reconstruction is supported for the latter alongside uncapped frame rates, AMD FSR 4.1, HDR and Ultra-Wide displays. Note that the recommended RAM is 16 GB across the board. Prep that SSD, though, because it also requires a whopping 120 GB of installation space.

Control Resonant arrives on September 24th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Remedy has already confirmed that the console versions will have a 60 FPS Performance Mode and Quality Mode, though PS5 Pro figures have yet to be detailed.
