Gears of War E-Day - Horde Siege

With reviews now live for Gears of War: E-Day’s Campaign, The Coalition has a new launch trailer to celebrate the launch of advanced access. Between the camaraderie between Marcus and Dom, the sheer chaos erupting through Kalona, and the rock music, it should feel familiar to long-time fans. Check it out below.

Advanced access is only available to Premium Edition owners. They can start playing right now, while Standard Edition players (and those on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass) must wait until October 1st. Of course, if you purchase the Premium Edition Upgrade for $30 as a subscriber, you can start playing right away.

It includes several other goodies, including five Seasonal Customization Packs. The first one, the Emergence Pack, is available immediately, but you’ll need to wait for the rest to go live during subsequent seasons. At which point, it probably makes more sense to purchase the Premium Edition for $100, especially if you’re a huge Versus aficionado. For Campaign fans, Game Pass Ultimate and the Premium Edition Upgrade may be the way to go.

If you’re curious about the quality of Gears of War: E-Day’s Campaign, check out our review. We praised the combat, setting, visuals, encounter design and new movement mechanics, though the side content could feel repetitive and the writing feels inconsistent at times.
