Embark Studios continues its march to ARC Raiders’ biggest update yet, Frozen Trail. Set in the snowy Pendola Pass, a new trailer teases and then directly showcases the kind of danger players can expect. Oh, and you get to see the updated model for Speranza’s Celeste.
While she suggests there’s never-before-seen tech to discover, the real prize is a downed Emperor. What caused the largest known ARC’s demise, if it’s really even dead? Unknown, but other ARC are swarming the area to rendezvous with it. Thus, the plan is to beat them to the punch and potentially raid the Emperor for whatever it’s worth.
Obviously, it’s not a perfect plan, especially considering the Frigate, a massive ship that transports numerous other ARC. But you might be able to hop inside and use it to your own ends. Or remain on the ground and fight off three new threats: the close-range Bully, fast-moving Skulker, and the Hydra, which…well, you can probably guess.
ARC Raiders’ Frozen Trail update goes live on October 8th, kicking off a free weekend for all platforms until October 12th. There’s plenty more to look forward to, including Amplified Weapons, new firearms, the Yank Grenade (briefly seen in the new trailer) and even the Outpost for setting up a new home.
