The next Premium Warbond for Helldivers 2 has been revealed, and it’s coming sooner than expected. The Scope of Authority is available on October 20th and it focuses on a relatively unexplored section of Super Earth weaponry: long-range rifles.
First up is the new R-40 Sightliner, a bolt-action sniper rifle that pierces armor and deals hefty damage. It’s accompanied by the P-44 Mist, a machine pistol that should help take out fodder enemies while repositioning. Need something even heavier? Say hello to the AMW-20 Apex.
As an anti-material rifle that can take on the largest enemies, it requires another teammate to help reload. Enemies will likely hear the gunshot across the planet’s surface, but few match its damage. If you’re after a laser weapon, the LAS-44 Nova is notable, firing “high-precision non-explosive” thermal shots. It requires a short charge, so get used to managing that.
Finally, there’s the G-11 Caltrops to cover your back. When an enemy steps over them, they’ll be slowed, stunned and blown up. The Warbond also includes two new armor sets: the SS-33 Mimetic Marshal (light armor) and the SS-15 Focal Point (medium armor). Each offers the passive Stationary Shroud, where crouching or going prone reduces detection range and weapon sway.
Of course, you can also expect the usual cosmetics, including capes, emotes, player banners and more. Stay tuned for more details when Scope of Authority goes live, including any potential balance changes.
