Gears of War E-Day - Horde Siege

The Coalition has released a new update for Gears of War: E-Day. The studio has referred to it as “a significant patch that impacts all areas of the game”. Along with a host of fixes across all game modes, the update also brings with it some new quality-of-life improvements, like the reduction in the size of the on-screen diagnostic text in the bottom left-hand corner, and the addition of a setting to disable audio chimes for Collectibles in Campaign mode.

When it comes to more specific fixes, a number of bugs throughout all acts of the campaign have been fixed, like Act Two Chapter One facing an issue in split-screen mode that blocked player progress after one of them disconnected, or Act Four Chapter One’s issue where a Wretch would spawn out of bounds and block player progress in the process.

Horde Siege mode has seen similar kinds of fixes for bugs like players spawning into the game with missing ammo, the Corpser becoming unkillable during an Invasion Event, and E-Holes sometimes interfering with Secondary Objectives due to unfortunate spawn locations.

Versus mode players have plenty to look forward to as well, with issues related to match intro sequences, the Scoria Invasion Event, and missing sound effects when reactivating the Supply Cache during a Secure objective all getting ironed out. All of these fixes have been paired with general performance and stability improvements across the board for both PC and Xbox players. For more details, check out the full patch notes below.

Gears of War: E-Day is available on PC and Xbox Series X/S. For more, take a look at our review.
