After initially skipping Xbox on release, ZA/UM’s ZERO PARADES: For Dead Spies is coming to Series X/S on November 3rd with the Director’s Cut. Check out the announcement trailer below courtesy of IGN.
Also coming to Nintendo Switch 2 and PS5, with PC players receiving it as a free update, the Director’s Cut adds over 40,000 words to the story, voice-over improvements, inventory filtering, and new death screens. There’s also Backstage Mode, where players can acquire in-game collectables and listen to commentary from the development team.
You can also witness the game’s development through different stages. A new Dramatic Encounter also awaits in the Quisach Roundabout, where protagonist Hershel engages in an existentialist encounter of sorts.
Of course, these are only a few new features, as the Director’s Cut brings widescreen support and other additions. If you haven’t picked up the base game on Steam, it’s also coming to Xbox on PC.
For more details on ZERO PARADES: For Dead Spies, check out our review. We scored it a 9 owing to the incredible setting and sharp characterization, though it’s easy to get lost with the lack of guidance. It presumably hasn’t done as well for the studio as Disco Elysium, leading to layoffs, so hopefully the Director’s Cut lands better.
