As the year winds down, even with that one major release still pending, plans are already underway for what next year could hold. Perhaps the biggest title to kick things off is RGG Studio’s Stranger Than Heaven, a new action-adventure as much about brawling as show business. To illustrate this, a new song has been revealed. Check out the trailer below.
Sung by Tori Kelly, who plays Suzy Day in 1951 Atami, “Mr Bee” is a jazz song with lots of oomph and flair. While the genre shifted significantly in the United States, the big band instrumentals are still a relatively new sound for Japan, one engineered by Day and the showman himself, Makoto Daito.
While each core singer has a deeper story, the trailer showcases how grand these performances can get. The jury is out on whether Daito can choose the outfits, but the instrumentals, decorations and confetti are all on him (provided the budget allows) and have a significant impact on the reception.
Stranger Than Heaven launches on January 15th, 2027, for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, and this only feels like the beginning of other performances to come. Will Sega and RGG Studio finally release a full version of the main theme? One certainly hopes, so stay tuned.
