10 Things We Want To See Battlefield In 4

Battlefield 3 offers one of the more intense and all-encompassing multiplayer experiences out there but, in comparison to Battlefield: Bad Company 2, it feels like each step forward has seen an equal movement backwards. Whilst there were some incredible improvements in BF3, here are ten further elements that need to change if we get a Battlefield 4 any time soon.

60FPS

BF3 was a beautiful game to behold but, when compared to competing shooters, it lacked the silky smoothness that only sixty frames per second can offer. I certainly understand that sacrifices needed to be made in order to get the game running well on consoles, but EA/DICE really should be capable of getting this right by now.

More Game Types

Rush and Conquest are all well and good, but it would be nice to see a bit of innovation in the game type area. And no, Team Deathmatch was not exactly what I would call a new and original game mode. Even if we just saw the usual capture the flag modes efficiently Battlefield-ified (that’s the only word that can really describe it), that would probably be better than playing the same two modes over and over again.

Better Co-op

The Co-op mode was a pleasant surprise in BF3, but it lacked the variety and length I was hoping for. Certainly the lack of four player support was also a big issue, as some of those missions were just begging for a bigger squad. Think Bad Company 2’s Onslaught mode with more objective variety, and that’s kind of where it ought to go.
