Gearbox: “The Wii U is a powerful, powerful machine”

Posted By | On 27th, May. 2012

After initially dishing out a few negative comments about the Wii U after its reveal last year, Gearbox has now started praising the system and its prowess. Aliens: Colonial Marines’ senior producer Brian Burleson has come out now and talked about what a powerful system the Wii U is.

“The Wii U is a powerful, powerful machine and it can do a lot of cool new things,” he told Eurogamer. “And so the game itself, moving it over to work on the Wii U was not much of a chore.”

He went on to talk about the easy development cycle on the Wii U. “”[Creating the Wii U version] has been pretty easy,” he said. “

The Wii U is a powerful, powerful machine and it can do a lot of cool new things. And so the game itself, moving it over to work on the Wii U was not much of a chore.

“Now the interesting thing is finding out all the cool ways you can use the controller to do new stuff with it. You can imagine all the cool things we can do, with this franchise and having a thing with you, right?”

He went as far as saying that the Wii U version of the game will be “better” than the Xbox 360 and the PS3 versions because of “more modern tech”.

Aliens: Colonial Marines was recently delayed to 2013.
