And Another Miss: Respawn Entertainment Skipping Gamescom

Posted By | On 06th, Jul. 2012

If you were bummed out by Call of Duty creators Jason West and Vince Zampella and their new company Respawn Entertainment’s lack of reveal at E3 2012, then this won’t be of much reconciliation. The owners have announced that Respawn won’t be at Gamescom either.

On Twitter, when asked about their plans to attend, they tweeted:

No, no plans to attend so far.

It’s entirely possible this could be true. Then again, they could be planning a big surprise reveal. But then again, it could just be devs working the Twitter crowd. Nothing new, regardless.

Since their separation from Activision (in what can only be described as one of the most ugly splits between publisher and developer), Respawn Entertainment aligned itself with Electronic Arts to produce an unnamed sci-fi shooter. Many speculated that it would finally be showcased at E3 2012, but despite the devs’ presence there, this wasn’t the case.
