Plague rats are nearly everywhere in Asobo Studio’s A Plague Tale: Innocence, and for good reason. Set during the Hundred Year War with the Black Plague looming, our protagonists Amicia and Hugo have their hands full just staying alive. However, the greatest monster is one that walks in the light. Check out the trailer below.

Of course, we’re talking about the Inquisition, with their leader Vitalis and the commander, Lord Nicholas (who bears that fetching helmet). It’s unknown why they’re pursuing the siblings, but the Inquisition is known for striking fear into the locals as well. Nothing will stop Lord Nicholas and his troops, which probably makes him the most dangerous foe in the game.

A Plague Tale: Innocence is out on May 14th for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. It’s confirmed to run at 4K on PS4 Pro and Xbox One X, though we’ll see if it’s a native resolution or not. Head here to learn more about the game’s stealth and crafting in the meantime.
