A Plague Tale: Requiem Tops 3 Million Players, Asobo and Focus Entertainment Working on New Project

The publisher confirms it's collaborating with the studio on "another exciting project," which could be A Plague Tale 3.

Asobo Studio’s A Plague Tale: Requiem has reached a new player milestone since launching last year, topping three million players, per Focus Entertainment on Twitter. The previously announced milestone was November 2nd, 2022 when over one million players were confirmed a few weeks after launch.

However, that’s not all, as Focus has confirmed it’s working with Asobo on “another exciting project.” It’s in the wake of job listings from July 2023 for the “Plague Team,” though neither the publisher nor developer have confirmed if this project is a new title or sequel in the series. Perhaps with this announcement, there may be a reveal in the future. Stay tuned until then.

A Plague Tale: Requiem is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch (via the cloud). It’s also playable on Game Pass. Check out our review, where we awarded it a 9 out of 10 for its presentation, story-telling, characters, improvements to stealth and combat and more.
