The Nintendo Switch will soon be seven years old, and it’s apparently entering the final months of its active lifecycle, but third parties are still porting their older titles to the platform. The latest game to join that ever-growing list? Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown.

Bandai Namco has announced that Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown Deluxe Edition will launch for the Nintendo Switch on July 11. It will include a variety of DLC packs and bonus items that have been previously released for other platforms. Four DLC packs won’t be included at launch – Original Aircraft Series Set, Experimental Aircraft Series Set, Cutting-edge Aircraft Series Set, and Top Gun: Maverick Aircraft Set – which will arrive at a later date.

In our review of Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown upon its release in early 2019, we awarded it a score of 9 out of 10, saying, “Ace Combat 7 is a great time that has enough content and options to satisfy both, newbies and flight aficionados.” Read the full review through here.

Bandai Namco’s combat flight simulator launched for PS4, Xbox One, and PC five years ago, in January 2019, and as of November, had sold over 5 million copies worldwide. The series’ next instalment is currently also in the works. Developed by Bandai Namco Aces, it’s being built on Unreal Engine 5.
