Sony didn’t have a ton of triple-A titles to showcase at Gamescom 2014 but it did have some fairly decent indie titles. This includes two new titles, namely Housemarque’s Alienation and Michel Ancel’s WiLD, both exclusive to the PlayStation 4. Check out their gameplay trailers below.

Alienation appears to be Housemarque’s new title that it teased when it was still developing Resogun DLC and is essentially like Dead Nation…except with aliens. It does possess some interesting pyrotechnics – to say the least – and supports co-op play for taking on a whole mess of aliens at once.

Meanwhile, there’s Michel Ancel’s WiLD, being developed by his new indie studio and seemingly set in some fantasy jungle setting. There’s talking and walking skeleton as your companion. It’s weird but it’s a good kind of weird that we liked.

What are your thoughts on the two new games showcased? Did they make the conference worth it? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
