Cold Iron Studios and Focus Entertainment’s co-op shooter Aliens: Fireteam Elite has been out for nearly a year now, and has received a decent amount of post-launch content since then. If, however, you have a hankering for more and want to dive into new offerings, there’s good news for you.

Cold Iron Studios recently teased new content for Aliens: Fireteam Elite, and that new content was recently unveiled at IGN Expo. Called Aliens: Fireteam Elite – Pathogen, it’s a brand new expansion that’ll take players to new locations in a new campaign, with new enemies to fight, new accessories and cosmetics, and much more. Check out its announcement trailer below.

Best of all, it’s not awfully far away from launch. Pathogen will launch on August 30. It’ll be a paid expansion, but a free upgrade will also go live for the game on the same day, bringing a hardcore mode for those looking for a more challenging experience.

Aliens: Fireteam Elite is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Yesterday at Summer Game Fest Kickoff Live, a new single player Aliens game was also announced with Aliens: Dark Descent. Read more on that through here.
