It’s quite hard to imagine right now that the famous franchise had a different name, that really isn’t quite as catchy as Resident Evil, but it was in the developmental stages so, I guess we could sort of envision this game went through all sorts of crazy stages. Although Capcom never officially explained why they gave the name Biohazard, many people believe that the name arose due to New York ’80s punk-metal band “Biohazard”. This is highly unlikely, but hey there has to be some theory right? But they ultimately managed to fit the name Biohazard so it wasn’t a total loss.
