With Sony only announcing the cost of their new handheld, the PS Vita, in Europe, Japan and the US, UK readers may be wondering how much the new console will set them back.

Amazon have anserwed this question, with a pre-order page that prices the units at £229.99 for the Wifi version and $279.99 for the 3G variety.

Seems like a good price point for a solid looking bit of kit.

Check out the amazon pre-order page for more details.
