Amazon Reveals List Of Highest Selling Video Game Hardware, Accessories, and Games; PS4 Tops The Charts

2016 is now at an end, so Amazon have gone ahead and shared the list of the video game hardware, software, and accessories that sold the highest on the website over the year. On the console front, it should come as no surprise to anybody that the PS4 ruled the roost, with the top three positions being some or the other PS4 SKU.

In terms of accessories, PlayStation was similarly dominant, with PSN gift cards being at the top. This is probably explained by a lot of people not wanting to put their credit card information on PSN, given how insecure and unstable it has been in the past. Finally, in terms of games, Pokemon Sun/Moon predictably topped the charts, with Final Fantasy 15 rounding out the top three.

You can check out all three lists below. With 2017 having multiple big games lined up, as well as two major console launches, it will be interesting to see what the charts for this year look like this time next year.
