There haven’t been a ton of details on Frictional Games’ Amnesia: Rebirth, which is slated to release just before Halloween. The first gameplay trailer has been released courtesy of IGN and though it still represents a work in progress, the overall atmosphere should feel familiar. Check it out below.

Amnesia: Rebirth focuses on Tasi Trianon who’s stuck in a desert in Algeria. She seemingly has no memory of what happened in the past few days and must thus retrace her steps while battling for survival against unknown horrors. As the trailer showcases, there are a number of puzzles to solve, like firing a tank cannon (which involves unlocking its rotation and changing the ammo).

There’s even a door that drops a live grenade when unlocked, which Tasi can pick up and throw. Of course, you’ll need to be quicker on the draw to avoid ending up like her in the end. Amnesia: Rebirth is out on October 20th for PS4 and PC. Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks.
