Animal Crossing has emerged as one of Nintendo’s biggest franchises over the years, and soon, it’ll be making its first outing on the Switch with Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The game will focus on island living and will feature all the calm and serenity that series fans have come to know and love. For those who’ve been waiting to pick up a Switch just for New Horizons, you’ve got a new console aimed just at you.
Today, Nintendo announced a special edition Nintendo Switch, priced at $299. The system will have a dock that displays Tom Nook, Timmy, and Tommy. It will also have special colored pastel green and blue Joy-Con controllers. If you have a Switch already and don’t feel the need to trade in, you can still get the Aloha Edition Carrying Case & Screen Protector for both regular and Switch Lite consoles to show your Animal Crossing love.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons will release exclusively on Nintendo Switch March 20th. The Animal Crossing Special Edition Switch will launch March 13th in North America and the 20th in other regions. New Horizons will, unfortunately, not be included with the system.
