Anomaly 2 Officially Confirmed for PlayStation 4

The tower defense classic has finally been announced for Sony's next gen console.

Mobile tower defense game Anomaly 2 was rumoured to be heading to the Sony PlayStation 4 since late last year but now 11 Bit Studios has officially announced the same. Interestingly, press sources outside of the West confirmed that a PlayStation 4 port was on the way and with this announcement, we’re even closer to seeing this happen than before. Check out the announcement trailer above.

Anomaly as a series has always been different from traditional tower defense games since they’ve put you in the role of the invading force that must take down turrents rather than erect them. The result is a mixture of puzzles and real time strategy that has seen success on Android, Blackberry, PC, Linux, iOS and Mac.

As for what kind of new content will be presented, that’s been as of yet unconfirmed. We can at least look forward to spiffy new graphics. Stay tuned for more details in the coming months.
