On top of BioWare hosting streams for its upcoming looter shooter Anthem, a new video was also recently released that covers the game’s story, progression, and customization. It’s a good primer to help people understand what’s going on in the world, how the Javelins fit in, and the different abilities they can wield. Check out the gameplay series video below.
Perhaps the most interesting part is the different builds that players can have. For instance, at one point we see a Colossus and Interceptor duo, the former drawing aggro from foes and tanking damage, while the latter darts in and kills them with assassination-style techniques. Something like a support role is also possible for Javelins like the Ranger, offering a unique degree of customization overall.
The next video in the gameplay series should be even more interesting, since it covers Anthem’s end-game, the Strongholds, and various activities that will keep players busy after launch. Anthem will release on February 22nd for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. However, there will also be a VIP Access demo next week for Origin/EA Access subscribers and those with pre-orders. The demo will also be made available for all players on February 1st.
