BioWare’s Casey Hudson was on hand at The Game Awards tonight to reveal a new trailer for Anthem, the developer’s upcoming shared world shooter. It was as you’d expect – humanity in dire straits, the Dominion threatening destruction, so on and so forth. Check it out below.
The game takes place in the far future, with the Anthem of Creation being a focal point of the story. It seems the baddies of the Dominion want to use it for their own means. Conflict ensues, and the future of the human race is now at stake. Sure, it’s a fairly typical formula, but it looks good enough here.
Anthem is set to release on February 22nd, 2019 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. It will have a demo on February 1st 2019 for EA/Origin Access subscribers and those who pre-order. However, an alpha test is currently on-going for a few lucky participants.
