BioWare’s Anthem hasn’t been doing so hot since launch, especially when you consider that most of the proposed roadmap’s content has been delayed. Nevertheless, the Cataclysm is currently underway on the Public Test Server and challenges for Freeplay on live servers, called “The Oncoming Storm” are currently available. When exactly the Cataclysm will drop is still unknown.
As for The Oncoming Storm, many of its challenges revolve around destroying crystals in the open world. There are also crystal World Events and crystallized enemies to defeat. Completing these challenges will net Coin for purchasing cosmetics and decals. Not a whole lot but it should keep players busy until the Cataclysm arrives.
The Cataclysm promises a new area with new timed challenges and several new Legendary Weapons to earn. It will be available for eight weeks and offer some new missions to set up the Dominion’s latest threat. Stay tuned for more information on the same in the coming weeks.
