Apex Legends has become a big success for both EA and Respawn Entertainment, even recently launching on the Nintendo Switch to reach a new audience. Some may not know that the game is actually related to Respawn’s first franchise, Titanfall, a series of more traditional first person shooters that put a big focus on mechs. While not a spinoff per say, Apex Legends takes place in the same universe and there’s lots of little references and nods for fans. Now it seems those may be getting more explicit with a new datamine.

Dataminer Biast12 found some interesting things digging within the latest update. It seems there are refences to the mechs from Titanfall. They are called Titans and were used in combat. It seems Blisk has an ability that allows them summon a Titan, which you can see below. This would be the most explicit and obvious reference to Respawn’s previous title.

As always with leaks and datamines, we treat them as rumor, but it definitely looks like there’s a good possibility that Titanfall is coming to Apex Legends at some point in the future.
