Respawn Entertainment has announced that the premiere trailer Apex Legends Season 4: Assimilation will debut today at 10 AM PST. The trailer follows up on a series of tweets by Outlands Television which has been reporting on sightings of Revenant through Hammond Robotics facilities. It’s the same fictional TV station that interviewed the now-deceased James “The Forge” McCormick.

Forge was originally believed to be the newest Legend joining the free to play battle royale title…until Revenant appeared to take him out. According to the TV station on Twitter, there will be an “exclusive OTV report with new information linking the recent break-ins at Hammond Robotics facilities and murder of James ‘The Forge’ McCormick with a 25-year unsolved cold case.” Perhaps we’ll find out just who – or what – Revenant really is.

Apex Legends Season 4 begins on February 4th and will feature a number of new features. These include a new weapon – the Sentinel sniper rifle which can fire damaging charged shots at a slower rate or faster shots with lower damage. Several changes are also being made to Ranked play, including the return of King’s Canyon (though World’s Edge will still be available). A new battle pass and cosmetics will also likely be revealed so stay tuned for more details later today.
