Embark Studios’ biggest update for ARC Raiders yet – so big it’s literally labelled 2.0 – is now live with Frozen Trail. Introducing a new map, Pendola Pass, players venture into the region to investigate a downed Emperor.
This brings two new conditions – Frigate and Redirection. The former is a massive ARC ship you can board to fight multiple threats inside. Of course, even on the ground, you’ll need to deal with newcomers like the Bully, Skulker and Hydra, each with new ways to make your life miserable.
You’ll have new weapons like the Bantam and Stiletto to even the odds, while Frozen Trail also brings Amplified Weapons to increase the level of classic armaments to 5. New tools like the Grappling Hook, Tether Launch, Yank Grenade and more can also help in a pinch.
If that wasn’t enough, the update introduces a Rewards Pass (replacing the old Raider Deck), increases the max stash size, revamps the map selection screen, and much more. ARC Raiders is also free to play until October 12th, so you can jump in on any platform and experience the entire game, including the new content.
