HR Manager for ZeniMax, along with Arkane Studios and Battlecry studios, Ashley Pierce has revealed over Twitter that both studios are developing on Crytek’s CryEngine technology. They are also hiring in various departments of development and Pierce has indicated that work has begun on a new project.

Arkane Studios is responsible for the highly acclaimed first person action adventure Dishonored and through a series of leaks, it has been revealed that the developer is working on Prey 2 from scratch. Rumours have also been circulating that the developer could be working on Dishonored 2.

Battlecry Studios was established in 2012 and MMO veteran Rich Vogel at the helm, whose previous experience includes Ultima Online and Star Wars Galaxies. Through a series of job listings looking for those experienced with “micro-transactions”, it has been rumoured that the studio is working on a free-to-play title.

It will certainly be interesting to see what these developers can come up with and whether they’d be able to tap into the power of CryEngine or not. Stay tuned for more details.
