Ubisoft Singapore has spoken quite a bit about UI customization in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, especially how it’s fully playable without a heads-up display. If you were wondering what that looks like, then a short gameplay teaser on Twitter is now available.
Suffice it to say that the remake looks even more stunning, whether it’s Edward Kenway walking through rain-covered streets or scoping out a location on a rooftop. The best part is that you can turn it on or off with the push of a button. So if you really need guidance or more situational awareness before jumping straight back into full immersion mode, Resynced has you covered.
Of course, it’s possible to individually customize every single element, right down to the VFX, blood, enemy health bars, sneaking outlines, and more. If going completely HUD-less doesn’t feel like the right fit for combat, there’s always the Simple preset, which does away with the various reminders and pop-ups.
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is out on July 9th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, and there’s still so much we don’t know about the game. Stay tuned for more details and gameplay in the coming months, or listen to actor Matt Ryan’s thoughts on the new scenes and how they bring more depth to Edward’s character and story.
