If you haven’t had enough of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced information, director of user Experience Jonathan Bedard and game designer Maksym Smolynets outlined all the accessibility features to look forward to. These include colorblind options with color presets that apply to all visual effects.
You can also look forward to screen narration for menus and game information, such as coordinates, ship info panels, and more. HUD customization was already discussed, but it’s nice to know you can also adjust individual VFX elements such as areas of interest, docking space highlights, and more.
Then there are the usual toggles for motion blur, screen shake, a persistent camera dot to help with motion sickness (with customizable size and color), more extensive subtitle customization, and an audio glossary. New players can enable the first-time user experience (FTUE) alongside accessibility presets with the ability to toggle what you need.
If all this – and control remapping – wasn’t enough, you can adjust the difficulty for naval combat, stealth, ground combat, and activities (possibly referring to underwater dives). Those not keen on the manual jump and Advanced Parkour can turn these off and go with the more classic parkour. And best of all, quick-time events, including for shark attacks, can be turned off. If you prefer unlimited oxygen instead, that’s also an option.
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced arrives on July 9th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Check out the latest gameplay, which offers quick glimpses at the dynamic weather, stealth, and exploration.
