Assassin's Creed Odyssey

Ubisoft Quebec is the development studio behind this year’s Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. The newest adventure heads to Ancient Greece where players will control a Spartan hero and carve their own odyssey. Athens and Sparta will battle against each other, and the world has its own contrasts as a result.

The plot revolves around the protagonist, a mercenary, who must fight to save their loved ones. In development for three years, Ubisoft confirmed two playable characters – Kassandra and Alexios, just as the leaked interview indicated today. Interestingly, the player will utilize the broken spear of Leonidas and unleash special abilities with it (like raining down arrows).

We also got a look at the interactive dialogue system as reflected in a conversation with philosopher Socrates. Basically, you get a chance to lie to the man. What’s not to like? A full gameplay sequence was also showcased with Kassandra as the hero (with mercenaries that show up to fight her). Check that out below.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is out on October 5th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Pre-order the Gold Edition and you’ll receive three days early access.
