Claws of Awaji, the first paid expansion for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, is reportedly targeting a September launch. Sources familiar with the development revealed this to Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson and apparently noted that the title’s pipeline remains unaffected by Ubisoft delaying other major IPs.
While the publisher could push it back depending on its strategy, the expansion could still arrive in October. Either way, it’s on track to launch later this year, offering more than ten hours of content, a new weapon type for Naoe (the Bō), new enemies, and a new location to explore.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Check out our review here. After its success, Ubisoft revealed an extensive post-launch roadmap. The first update adds a new story quest, parkour improvements, and more, while the next, due in June, adds difficulty settings, an open-world alarm system and more.
Aside from Claws of Awaji, the development team is also working on New Game Plus, more story content, Animus content, and Codex Update. It also has special collaborations in the works, like Dead by Daylight, which goes live on May 27th.
