Ahead of the launch of Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End and the Secret Key, Koei Tecmo and developer Gust provided updated shipment numbers for the series. Atelier Ryza 1 and 2 have now crossed 1.6 million units shipped worldwide, about 600,000 more than the last milestone in March 2021.
Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness and the Secret Hideout launched in October 2019 for PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC. It became the series’ best-selling entry yet, with 500,000 units sold by August 2020. It was followed by Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends and the Secret Fairy, released in January 2021 for PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC.
As for the third game in the series, it launches on March 24th for the same platforms. It sees Ryza and friends returning to their home town and investigating strange islands and ruins that have appeared. Along with the largest cast to date, it has the biggest world with no loading screens between the interconnected maps. Stay tuned for more details when it arrives next week.
