Hugo Gernsback which is the name of the ship, is also a name of a real person

Many Mass Effect fans loved the Hugo Garnsback mission, we got to go deeper into Jacob’s past, and we found out that Jacobs’s dad was a monster and a major douche. But what many fans are not aware of is that the name of the ship is similar to the name of the author and editor of the world’s first Science Fiction Magazine: Hugo Gernsbacher. Hugo was a Luxembourgian American inventor, writer, editor, and magazine publisher, best known for publications including the first science fiction magazine.
