Gran Turismo 5: Prologue
Metacritic: 80
Type: Underrated
Copies Sold: 5.09 million
Waiting for you favourite game can be frustrating, but Sony played it smart by releasing a teaser of what to expect from Gran Turismo 5 in Prologue. Excellent visuals, mind boggling production values and a plethora of content all at a pretty neat price made GT5: Prologue an awesome value for money product. The game did well at 5 million sold, but not all critics loved it.
Siren: Blood Curse
Metacritic: 78
Type: Underrated & Undersold
Copies Sold: 0.09 million
Siren: Blood Curse was a pretty unique take on the horror genre. Drastically improving on its PlayStation 2 predecessor Forbidden Siren 2, the game tells the story of American TV actors that have arrived in Japan to understand the legend of Hanuda. Venturing around the themes of human sacrifice, the game was a scary ride and one that you should not play alone. 0.09 Million copies sold…that’s way too less for a horror ride that Siren was.
Folklore
Metacritic: 75
Type: Underrated & Undersold
Copies Sold: 0.2 million
Developed by the team behind games like Genji: Dawn of Samurai and Every Party, Game Republic developed a cracking action adventure role playing game in Folklore. Folklore told an interesting story about a young couple and introduced the player to a world never seen before. I was totally blown away by the art design, fairy tale setting and its addictive battle system. It’s safe to say that Folklore is perhaps the most underrated and undersold game on the PlayStation 3 ever.
