Larian Studios offered a brief update on Baldur’s Gate 3 via a new video on Twitter. It sees storyteller Volo from the previous games speaking about “many developments” in the city and how it’s “time to return”. This is followed by a montage of music, behind-the-scenes work and motion capture.

The video ends with the tease “Something’s brewing” and the date of February 27th. Perhaps there’s going to be a gameplay reveal of some kind? More story details? A behind the scenes look at development and the work that Larian Studios is putting in?

Whatever the case may be, we’re stoked. Baldur’s Gate 3 was announced last year around E3 2019 and is the long-awaited follow-up to one of the most critically acclaimed RPGs of all time. Larian Studios has been teasing a darker story and how it’s the biggest role-playing game that the studio has ever made. It’s currently in development for PC and Google Stadia so stay tuned for more details on its status in the coming months.
