Battlefield 2042

After a one month delay, DICE’s Battlefield 2042 will be releasing for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5 and PC. The so-called “biggest” Battlefield title till date will launch with a suite of multiplayer options and some of the largest maps in the series. It will also support Nvidia’s GeForce RTX features, which a new trailer helps to highlight.

Along with Nvidia DLSS, which provides an AI-powered performance boost, there’s support for ray traced ambient occlusion for more realistic lighting. Nvidia Reflex is also supported for improved system latency and response. Interestingly enough, the frame rate sees a noticeable drop at the 0:35 mark in the trailer so we’ll see how the performance is at launch.

Battlefield 2042 releases on November 19th. Those who pre-ordered the Gold and Ultimate Editions can play the full game on November 12th. For details on how DICE is improving the game following the recent open beta, head here.
