Battlefield 2042 – Season 3: Escalation Trailer Showcases New Map, Specialist, Weapons, and More

The multiplayer first person shooter's third season will kick off later this month, on November 22.

DICE and EA have unveiled Battlefield 2042 Season 3: Escalation’s first gameplay trailer, as recently promised, and have highlighted some of the headlining additions that the upcoming drop of content is bringing with it to the multiplayer first person shooter. Check out the trailer below.

Season 3: Escalation will add a new map to Battlefield 2042, called Spearhead, which is set in large open Swedish fields that also house two high-tech weapons manufacturing facilities. Meanwhile, the game will also continue its rework of existing maps. After have done so with the likes of Kaleidoscope and Renewal, Season 3: Escalation will bring with it a redesigned version of Manifest.

Meanwhile, the new season of content will also add Zain as a new Specialist, boasting teamwork skills, the XM370A semi-automatic airburst launcher, and faster health recharge upon a kill. New weapons are also being added, including throwing knives, the high powered NVK-S22 smart shotgun, the Rorsch Mk-4 railgun, and the NVK-P125 Bullpup.

There’s also the new EMKV90-TOR tank, which will feature two usable modes emphasizing speed and damage. And of course, there’s also a new Battle Pass with a hundred new tiers of unlocks, both paid and free.

Season 3: Escalation will launch on November 22, coinciding with the game’s launch for EA Play and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

Battlefield 2042 is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
