DICE executive producer Patrick Bach has confirmed to Xbox Wire that the Xbox One version of Battlefield 4 will support Kinect head-tracking and SmartGlass functionality. It was earlier indicated that Kinect would be supported, but Bach now details exactly how.

“Through SmartGlass, Xbox players will be able to view the overhead map during multiplayer matches and take advantage of the second screen Also, with Kinect, we’re looking into features that enhance the controls including peeking and leaning and tracking head movement as well as incorporating voice commands.” Bach didn’t confirm whether these features would be available at launch however.

Battlefield 4 is slated to release on October 29th for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 in North America. It will also be launching on PlayStation 4 on November 15th in North America and on November 29th in Europe with the Xbox One version due to release worldwide on November 22nd. Stay tuned for more details as they arrive.
