Grand Operations is perhaps one of the headline features in the upcoming Battlefield V (and don’t worry, they will be included at launch). It is a 64 player mode that sees player engaging in large-scale conflicts, much like the Operations in Battlefield 1- except this time they’re a lot bigger, hence the “grand” in their name.
Each match is spread across four in-game days, with each day featuring custom rules and distinct maps. The results at the end of each day determines how well each team is faring on the subsequent day, and if the conflict should make it to the fourth and final day, both teams will enter a sudden death battle called Final Stand, with the last team standing ultimately winning the match.
And now, thanks to a livestream held by YouTube channel MassiveG, we now have over 80 minutes (almost 90 minutes, in fact) of footage of a Grand Operations match to sink our teeth into. There’s a lot of stuff to look at here, while things such as the ammunition system and reviving mechanics have drawn some concern by some fans lately, so those who have such concerns might also want to take a look. You can view the entire thing below.
Battlefield V launches on October 21 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. An open beta for the game will be held in September. Till then, here’s everything you need to know about the game.
